Before I went to Ethiopia, this page was filled with a list of facts. Sad facts.
But now that I have been there, am home, and am praying for the day that I can go back, this page means so much more to me.
Ethiopia is more than just statistics. It's a beautiful place with beautiful people and I love it with all of my heart. It is the birth country (and currently the home) of my son and is forever dear to me. Behind the poverty, sickness, lack of sustainable income and very sad stats there are people who have a beautiful and precious way of life. People who have figured out things about life that most American's haven't come close to figuring out.
I'm not saying that Ethiopia doesn't need you. It does. But I'm saying that we...especially me...NEED Ethiopia too.
Find a way to give to this country and it's people, and I promise it will give back to you.
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for
those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see
that they get justice.
